New York City (June. 12-17. 2010)
I want to say that New York City is one of the amazing and unbelievable cities in the world. Frankly I had totally no idea about this most famous city shamefully. The only thing that I had known before I got this city was the part of America where the Time Square and Statue of Liberty are located. That's it. Nothing special on me and nothing came to my heart unfortunately. But now... I got a completely precise map of this city in my brain. I feel like the real map was curved in my head as well. All I got in this place is vivid until now completely; I'm definitely sure that I will never forget this wicked awesome city as well as busy people who are living in this area. Of course the busy streets, busy police, busy cars, busy buildings also. I love this leading global city because it exerts a powerful influence over the world culture, art, commerce, finance, education, fashion, research, media, and entertainment.
I hope I will be able to stay and get a job in this city in the future.
Time square
Time Square is a major commercial intersection in the borough of Manhattan in New York City, at the junction of Broadway and 7th avenue and stretching from West 42nd to West 47th streets. I spent approximately 5 hours in this square sitting on the stand in front of this big advertising building doing nothing. I enjoyed looking various kind of people, such as tourists, salesmen, clowns, and music players. All of them expressed their own feeling, fortunately I could get own my fantastic feeling as well. As matter of hours, I enjoyed the busy and brisk atmosphere; I got totally drenched into this world for a while. It was so great time. Nobody can get this feeling whoever you are if you have no experience as same as mine.
I was looking for a restaurant in the book to have lunch near the Time Square. I decided to go to Japanese restaurant and had a Miso soup with noodles. That's was my first meal of the first day in New York City. It was not bad. But I should have considered more carefully.
There's no night in the center of New York City. There's no difference between the daytime and night except changing the sun and moon in the sky. So many people... So much noise... So many things to do... But the biggest problem that I had is money! All of things were starting from my pocket.
Standing on the middle of the world. I was so proud of the fact that three of main Korean companies, which are Samsung, Hyundai, and LG were being advertised in the Time Square.
Time Square
I got a bazillion pictures of mine in Time Square before I went back to my hotel. So many people were staying outside until midnight and more. It's AWESOME
7 Avenue.
Near my hotel.
Last day, I came back here again and got some energy from all of live creatures.
Sunset with Newyorkers.
Spunge and his friend
So many musicals. I chose to watch the Chicago. It was awesome. But for me, It's so difficult to understand what they were saying and singing. But their performance was the top of the world.
We can buy some kinds of musical tickets in half-price or 30 to 40 percent discounted price. Tkts. But the line of people to buy the tickets was pretty long.
On the way to my hotel.
M&M! There were thousands of chocolates!
Last day, before I went to bus terminal. I bought some souvenir after that.
