★Boston

Boston (3 April 2010 -)

Boston is the largest city in New England, It is regarded as the unofficial "Capital of New England" for its economic and cultural impact on the entire New England region. Boston is the 20th largest city in the country and the population of this city is about 645,000.

I've been staying in Boston since April 3rd 2010. As we know, Boston is very famous city for Education, Sports, and History. Especially Harvard University, MIT, Boston University, and Boston College are located in this city. I'm definitely sure that this city is the one of most beautiful cities in the United States. I've been enjoying staying here and got lots of good memorization as well. But the only problem of this city is that costs of living are too high.

John Hancock Tower.
This building is one of main skyscrapers in Boston with the Prudential building.
We can see this building everywhere in Boston.

Statue of John Harvard in Harvard University
It's been known that we would be smart like a Harvard university students if we touch the left shoe of this statue. That's why most of people who visit here touch the left shoe of this statue.

Boston Public Library in Copley. For me, here is the most impressive library that I've ever been any libraries before. Half of people in this library are tourists and rest of them are people who are sitting and reading a book or studying. This building has a great number of spectacle interior decorations.

Park Street.
If we get off the train at Park Street in Green line, we can see this view on our own eyes.

MIT
This college is located in Cambridge where so many youngsters living there. Actually I wasn't so touched when I got here. Maybe that's because I thought that this school is only for students who study engineering or technology. But now I really like this college and want to be a this school student.

Copley Square
It is a public square located in the Back Bay neighborhood of Boston.

The night view of Boston from the Charles River.
The Charles River is an 80 mile (129km) long river that flows in an overall northeasterly direction in eastern state of Massachusetts.

Fenway Park
I would come here to play soccer with my friends in this summer. This place is so crowded with swarms of people playing soccer, basketball, baseball and jogging. This place is so great to do any kind of sports. Facilities in this park are perfect also. The best thing that this park has is convenient location. We can get off at Fenway station or North Eastern University station.

Boston Public Library
It is a municipal public library system in Boston. It was the first publicly supported municipal library in the United States, the first large library open to the public in the US, and the first public library to allow people to borrow books and other materials and take them home to read and use.

Here is the Boston Public Library. I used to come here to do my homework with my friends. It's a perfect place to study because the quiet atmosphere helps us to concentrate on our books easily.

Boston Commons.
Nearly everyday I went to this park to take a rest or hang out with my friends. Nice place to be relaxed.

Fenway Park
Fenway Park is a baseball stadium for the Boston Red Sox club. It is the oldest Major League Baseball stadium currently in use. It's the only one of the original standard ballparks that is still in use. Considered to be one of the best-known sports venues in the world.

With American friends in Fenway Park Stadium. This time we won the game. They hit 3 home runs to Cleveland. But for me, baseball is the most boring sports that I've ever tried. So It was not so exciting as I expected. We gotta wait for an hour to see something.

New Hampshire State - Live Free or Die
I and my host mother usually go to New Hampshire State to buy some groceries or daily necessities every weekend. That's because in this state there are no sales taxes on the goods. So we can buy anything in the cheaper price than Boston. Good State for shopping!

Here is the Apple retail store in New Hampshire State.
I bought MacBook air, IPod nano and HP Printer here. I've got a IPod and Printer for free. That's because I had a sales event. Moreover I didn't pay the tax and I got a student discount.

Quincy Market
.Quincy Market is a historic building near Faneuil Hall in downtown Boston. It was constructed 1824-1826 and named in honor of Mayor Josiah Quincy, who organized its construction without any tax or debt. (Here is the right in front of the Quincy Market)

Every weekend, there are some people who show their stuff for fun and for getting some money. It was nice to stop and see them. I used to come here to have lunch every weekday with my classmates because my school was within 5 minutes from here by walk.

Harvard University Library

Unfortunately, I couldn't get into the library because it's allowed for only the school students.

Harvard University. There are some people who were taking a campus tour.
